Cuisine Kathleen has issued another challenge, and I’m up for it! I love when Kathleen gives us these challenges. It really gets my creative juices flowing. This time it’s an apple theme.
I thought about using a red tablecloth, but decided not to. (too much red) So I went with a white underlay with a white lace tablecloth overlay. I brought in the red with the place mats & flatware.
A very dear friend loaned me her apple dishes. Thank you so much, Crissy. The Apple Coasters, Apple Centerpiece & Apple Napkin Rings were from previous posts.
I tried a few options with the Apple Centerpiece. An apple & cinnamon candle with an apple lid, that I had to light:
Another larger red apple & cinnamon candle:
But an Apple Themed Tablescape needed a special desert. I had an Anchor Hocking ‘Presence’ cake stand that fit perfectly in the apple centerpiece. And an apple pie nestled in that cake stand like it was made for it.
I added Better Homes & Gardens new 2013 Heritage Collection Apple Plates to the place mats for desert. (I couldn’t resist them, especially when I heard them calling my name) 😉
Hope you enjoyed this weeks Apple Theme Tablescape. I had a very good time putting this one together. And the men in my home especially enjoyed the Apple Pie!
