Bling Napkin Rings

I’ve really got to stop looking at sites on the Internet.  I see so many beautiful things that are way out of my budget.  This is what happened when I was looking at Pottery Barn’s site.  They had some ‘Crystal Bracelet Napkin Rings’, but they were $25.00.  That’s just a little more than I wanted to pay for a little bling on the table.

While shopping at the Dollar Tree, I got one of my bright ideas, and I really like how it turned out.  The project was unbelievably easy to make, and the results added just the right finishing touch to my Winter Tablescape!

To make these you only need 4 things.  Napkin Rings found in the wedding section of the Dollar Tree.  Rhinestone Mesh Bling, also found at the Dollar Tree or any craft store.  A glue gun with glue sticks & some scissors.  The napkin rings come 6 to a pack & they have rectangle or round ones.  I chose the rectangle ones because I figured that it would be easier to extend the mesh to the sides.

I opened up the rhinestone mesh & laid the napkin ring on top of it.  I centered it so that there was a row of rhinestones on either side of the napkin ring.

I glued the rhinestone mesh to the napkin ring, a little at a time until it was completely covered.  I just cut the excess off & lined up the last row to match the first row.

Then I clipped the mesh at the corners.

Once the corners were clipped, I glued the mesh to the sides, one side at a time.  Then I repeated the same process on the other side.

One down & the rest to go!  I told you that it was unbelievably easy.  And the results are just what I had in mind.  Total cost?  $2.00 for all 6.

Wouldn’t these be amazing used for a wedding?  There are several colors of rhinestone mesh available so you could match the color theme of your wedding.

I’m thinking how pretty these would be in green for St. Patrick’s day, or in a pink, purple or teal for Easter.

Have fun with these!  Make them your own.

Happy Creating everyone!
