I chose to use a celery green theme this time. What inspired the color was the shade of green in the china. I thought about using white, but I was afraid that the china would get lost in the white since it’s such a delicate pattern. I hope you like the way it turned out as much as I do.
I chose to use a celery green tablecloth as an underlay with a white lace tablecloth on top. I felt it needed the lace to keep with the way the china feels so delicate and feminine. I used plain celery green place mats.
Clear glasses with a slight green cast were used to keep with the green theme.
I stayed with the green and white theme by using celery green satin ribbon as napkin rings with plain white napkins.
You may remember this Sango Cotillion China from my Pretty in Pink Tablescape. What a difference the background color makes.
And a view from the top:
I kept the centerpiece simple, so that it wouldn’t compete with the china. I used an oval mirror as the base. A square flower vase filled with clear glass scatter was put on top of the mirror. I filled the vase with water and floated 5 lime scented votive candles on top.
The more I looked at this tablescape, the more I realized that it could be used as a Spring Tablescape. And the china would make it perfect for a bridal luncheon.
And naturally, I had to light the candles.
A closer view of the centerpiece with the candles lit:
I love what candle light does for a tablescape.
I hope you enjoyed this week’s tablescape.
Happy Creating everyone!
