Cheesecloth Ghosts

I’m making more ornaments for the Halloween Tree!  This one is an ornament that the little ones could make easily.  All it takes is 3 items to make the body, and some sort of eyes. (and if you don’t have cheesecloth, there’s an alternative later on)

The supplies needed:

Cheesecloth

Cotton Ball

White Thread

You can make these as small or large as you want.  Cut 2 layers of cheesecloth in the desired size squares. (mine were about 4″)

Place the cotton ball in the center of the cheesecloth.

Pull the cheesecloth over the cotton ball, keeping the cotton ball in the middle, and wrap with white thread just under the cotton ball.  This keeps the cotton ball in place and forms a neck.  Tie off ends.

Now add some eyes.  You can use fabric paint, attach wiggle eyes with tacky glue, or paint them on with acrylic paint.

And what if you don’t have any cheesecloth on hand?  How about a dryer sheet?  It works the same way, except you only need one dryer sheet per ghost. (you could use tissues, but they don’t last from season to season)

Add eyes the same way as with the Cheesecloth Ghosts.

Add Christmas ornament hangers to the top of the heads, and they’re ready to be hung on the tree!
