I can’t have a holiday go by without a wreath on my door to celebrate it. Easter is no exception. All of the florals in this wreath were purchased at the Dollar Tree, so it wasn’t expensive to make. I hope you enjoy it.
I started off with a grapevine wreath that I had on hand. The first thing that I did was to add a chenille stem loop to the back to hang the wreath.
Then I added ribbon to the wreath & added a bow to the top. After the ribbon & bow were in place, I wired in some ribbon to make long tails from the bow.
I got all of the florals together that I’d gotten from the Dollar Tree. They also had bushes of glittered berries in lovely Easter colors! Naturally, I had to get a few of them!
I cut the florals apart and glittered a bunch of plastic eggs.
I started by adding the lilies, florals & eggs to the bow at the top.
Then I added more eggs & florals to the sides, spacing out the colors of the eggs so that there weren’t 2 of the same colors together.
I wired in a stuffed bunny at the center bottom using a chenille stem. Since the bunny wanted to fall forward, I tied fishing line around one of the ears & attached it to the top of the wreath. (You can’t see the fishing line holding the bunny)
Then I printed an Easter message on some vellum paper, cut it out & glued the message to the bunny’s hands.
The message completed the wreath.
And it could be hung on the door to greet everyone.
And I love the way the sun makes the glitter on the berries & eggs glow.
(No big surprise there.)
I hope you enjoyed this year’s Easter Wreath.
I hope everyone has a Blessed Easter.
Happy Creating everyone!
