I have been so busy lately. Summer is getting close to an end & the holiday season will be here before you know it. Most of this Summer has been spent working on my very long to-do list. (Most of those projects are home decor/repair projects) Finishing projects that have been on my to-do list is exhausting but so fulfilling. A few of those projects started with a trip to the Goodwill & Michaels Arts & Crafts. Many of the projects that you will see in the upcoming weeks will include what I found at these two stores.
The trip to Goodwill netted a beautiful wicker doll bassinet from the 1980’s. It’s 7″ high by 7 1/2″ long & after I alter it, I think it would make a lovely centerpiece.
Off to Michaels with gift cards & coupons! The first thing that I found were some rolls of neon colored ribbon. They were on a clearance & I just couldn’t resist.
I was out of Water Jewels, and Michaels had a small sized package that was perfect for what I needed. (love these things)
I can never pass up a package of aurora borealis gems…
While I was wondering around Michaels, I found a sheet of plastic mirror! This can be cut to any shape you need. Boy oh boy, did this give me some ideas.
Then I stumbled onto the Duck Tape section. Being easily distracted by shiny things, this caught my eye. It’s a roll of Duck Tape adhesive gems! I’m going to have a lot of fun with this!
I found these crystal drawer pulls in the $1.50 bins. They are already designated for two very special projects for the home.
And last but certainly not least, the reason that I went to Michaels in the first place… a new heat gun. I’ve needed a new one for months! The best part was that it was on sale & I had a 50% off coupon.
That’s my Goodwill & Michaels Shopping Haul! I hope you enjoyed it.
Happy Creating everyone!
