This is not my usual kind of post, but I wanted everyone to know about it & I felt it was important to share.

This is the reason I’ll Never go to Denny’s again.

The other evening, my husband & I went to Denny’s for a business meeting.  We were discussing personal, financial & business  information at this meeting.  About half an hour into the meeting, I glanced out of the window, and saw this!

I couldn’t believe what I was seeing!  I had to take a picture of the sign just so I could zoom in to read it!  Needless to say, we were all in shock.  Video & Audio Surveillance!

We finished up the meeting quickly & went outside.

I know that I didn’t see this sign when we walked into the restaurant.  And neither did anyone else at our table.   Why?  Because it’s not on the outside of the door that you walk through.

The signs are on one side of the vestibule.  So, if you aren’t looking for it, you’re not going to see it.

Why am I so upset about this?  Everyone expects video surveillance at a public place.  But audio?

Everything that we were talking about was recorded!   I can’t begin to tell you how angry I am about this!

I know that it’s legal to record conversations (at least here in Pennsylvania) as long as the party is made aware of it first…. I guess it’s not their fault if we didn’t read the sign!!!

I will never go to Denny’s again.  I feel that my privacy has been invaded.  And I will certainly be more aware the next time I enter any establishment.

So, whether you’re there on a date, a meeting, or just answering your phone, be aware that everything is being recorded.

Big Brother really is watching.
