Independence Day Tablescape

Happy Independence Day Everyone!

Today is the 4th of July!  A day to celebrate, and since I love to decorate for the holidays, today was no exception.

Independence Day Tablescape

This tablescape started with a simple, plain white cotton tablecloth.  I added red, white & blue fireworks place mats that I’d made  years ago.  The pattern just says 4th of July celebrating to me.  I added the napkin rings to white cotton napkins & tucked a little flag pick into them.

Some plain white plates, red handled flatware & red glasses set the stage for a red, white & blue Jell-o desert served in claret glasses.  (had to add a flag pick to those too.)

I added a star shaped votive holder to each place setting that naturally had to be lit.

Lighting all of the candles for the tablescape finished it off.

And even Uncle Sam came out to celebrate.  The tray, Uncle Sam and candles (from previous posts) were all gathered together to make the simple centerpiece.
