Memorial Day weekend is here. For this week’s tablescape, I decided to create a tablescape using the items that I got in my Dollar Tree Haul. I kept it simple so it could be used for a picnic outdoors as well as indoors. It was inexpensive as well as easy to put together. I hope you can find some ideas that you can use for your holiday entertaining.
I started with a white tablecloth covered with a white lace tablecloth. Then I added my ‘No Sew Place mat’. If you’d like to know how I made them, go here.
Then I added the plastic star shaped plates & a foil star shaped paper plate. I wanted to break up the look, so I added a small white berry bowl to the center, but it’s not necessary for a picnic. I used star bandanas for the napkins held by a clear napkin ring. Blue handled flatware & goblets finished the place setting off.
The centerpiece was made using a blue star shaped plastic plate, metallic star shaped battery operated candles & a cobalt blue salt shaker filled with the small white roses that I got at the Dollar Tree. I added some red, white & blue pinwheels to it that I’ve had for years.
I had to light the candles, ahem.
And a view from the top:
Happy Memorial Day.
Happy Creating everyone!
