Repurposed Valentine’s Day Centerpiece

I love after Christmas bargains.  Such pretty things at half the price.  I was shopping at Walmart when I found this Better Homes & Gardens centerpiece.  I couldn’t resist it.  But its design limited me to Christmas.  I had a better idea:

What you’ll need:

Centerpiece (Walmart)

Wire Cutters

Silk Ivy bush (JoAnn Fabrics), cut apart at base

Silk Rose Bush (JoAnn Fabrics), cut apart at base

Red heart shaped scatter stones (Dollar Store)

12″ x 12″ mirror tile (Walmart)

Votive candles

With a pair of wire cutters, I stripped all of the Christmas foliage off of the centerpiece.

Then I placed it on a 12″ x 12″ mirror tile in the center of the table:

I wove some ivy in between the candle posts at the base, adding pieces until I thought it looked full enough.

From a bush of silk roses, I pushed the leaves up towards the head & then cut each one about 4 or 5 inches long.

I only needed 6 of the roses, which I tucked into the ivy between the candle posts.

Then I added the glass candle holders & votive candles. The heart shaped glass ‘scatter’ stones were added to the mirror tiles in the center & on the corners.

That’s all it took to make a quick Valentine’s Day Centerpiece!
