It’s time for another Tips & Tricks!
First of all, I must apologize for the pictures. It was very late & the lighting in the laundry area isn’t the best for taking pictures.
My husband has to wear a white shirt to work. White always looks crisp, when it’s clean. The problem with white is that every spot shows up & the collars get dirty very easily.
I used to fight with ring around the collar, using all of the expensive products on the market that claim to get the spots out. Some of the products worked, some didn’t. Then I started to think back to when my kids were little. Their little socks got so dirty, and I could get them looking like new in no time.
What did I use? Fels Naptha.
While talking to some of the younger people at work, I realized that most of them have never heard of Fels Naptha! It’s a bar of laundry soap that can be found in the same aisle that the laundry detergent is found and has been around for over 100 years. The cost is only $1.79 at Walmart and a bar will last me a year or more!
How do you use it? It’s so easy to use. Wet the fabric where the spot is and rub the bar of Fels Naptha into the wet spot. Then using your hands like a wash board, scrub Fels Naptha into the spot.
Check to see that most of the spot is starting to disappear. (sometimes you need to do it a couple of times)
Then put it into the washing machine and launder as usual. When you take the item out of the washer, it will be good as new.
This works on colored fabric too. It’s great for getting out grease spots, grass stains, even spaghetti splashes. I remember getting formula stains out from my little ones’ shirts & bibs with this. And it removes make-up stains like magic.
I can’t tell you how many shirts that I have that have been saved with this product. (I’m a messy cook)
Give it a try. I think you’ll be surprised.
Happy Creating everyone!
