It’s the week before Thanksgiving, so I still wanted to go with a Fall theme.
The reason I named this Rustic Elegance is because the tablecloth is a very soft woven fabric that looks like burlap and the china is so elegant.
The tablecloth is fabric that I’ve had for years. It was originally used to make a Noah costume for my son when he was in second grade. (he’s 23 now) It looks like burlap, but feels so soft. The place setting is simple. I used wood look chargers, wheat patterned china, light beige linen napkins and silver flatware. The napkins are held by some of the tablecloth fabric covered with gold glittered tulle, then finally tied with some of the threads from the fabric.
The centerpiece was put together with a glass tumbler wrapped with the same fabric & filled with silk cat tails, beige, brown & blue silk flowers. The wooden candle sticks brought the wood from the chargers towards the center of the table. I set some beige ceramic pots on the candlesticks to bring the beige in. They were filled with water & a votive was floated on top.
Some more fabric covered with the glitter tulle was placed on a brown glass tray, some gold scatter & squirrel salt & pepper shakers finished the centerpiece off.
