This is a quick fix for my sweet tooth, and I can have one because they’re sugar free!
(Well, almost sugar free. There is a small amount of sugar in the Splenda Brown Sugar Blend).
They’re simple to make. This is the original recipe… I just use sugar free honey & Splenda’s Brown Sugar Blend instead of regular honey & Brown Sugar.
I grease a 9″ x 13″ pan with Butter Flavored PAM. Then I put the Rice Krispies & Oatmeal in a large bowl & mix well.
Quick Tip ~ if you spray your measuring cup with PAM first, the honey slides right out.
In a medium pan, add the butter, honey & brown sugar. Bring it to a boil & reduce the heat to a simmer for 2 minutes. Turn off heat & add the vanilla.
Pour the hot mixture into the dry ingredients & mix well, until all of the dry ingredients are moistened. Add fruits and/or nuts if desired. Press the mixture into the greased pan & set aside to cool for 20 minutes. After the mixture has had a chance to cool down, place the pan into the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
They’re now ready to be cut into bars or squares.
I wrap the bars in parchment paper to pack in lunches. I also store them in the refrigerator.
These are so good that my hubby actually asked me to make him a batch.
