I’m still longing for the beach. (maybe next year) I guess that’s why beach related things keep showing up in my posts.
When I was doing my usual weekly browsing at Joanne Fabrics, I saw this fabric. It reminded me of the turquoise waters in the Bahamas. I knew that it had to be used in a tablescape.
So, I made it into place-mats.
I used clear dinner plates to let the pattern show through. The napkin ring is satin ribbon with a shell, that I painted with a white pearl acrylic paint, glued on to it.
I love the way this tablescape turned out. The color and pattern feels like the beach.
To make the centerpiece, I used the tray that I did in a previous post. I put a layer of sand in the tray, then added a sand castle candle holder made by PartyLite. Then I added some shells that I’d painted with Aquamarine acrylic paint & then added a thin coat of white pearl acrylic paint over it. A few turquoise flat backed marbles sprinkled in the sand completed the look that I was going for.
I added some tea lights to each place setting, some turquoise glasses & the tablescape was just right.
And a view from the top to finish it off:
I hope you enjoyed my mini vacation to the beach.
Happy Creating everyone!
