I guess I’m feeling a little bit of cabin fever. With so much white outside, I wanted a little color inside. I’ve had this set of red glass dinnerware since 1997. I lost one of the plates along the way, so I decided to do a tablescape for 3.
I hope you enjoy my Red & Silver Tablescape.
I started with silver chargers and layered the plates & bowl on top. Red handled flatware added more color. Red napkins were held together with rhinestone ribbon. Clear water glasses & red goblets finished the place setting off.
A view from the top.
The centerpiece was simple. A 12″ x 12″ mirror was used for the base. One of the desert plates was put on top of the mirror. A glass candle filled with red cinnamon candle was placed in the middle of the desert plate. I added more rhinestone ribbon around the candle to carry out the silver color. Some red gem shaped stones were scattered around the candle.
The finishing touch was a set of cardinal salt & pepper shakers. The red of the cardinals extended the red outward, towards the plates.
(funny, I just learned that my son can’t stand when I have the salt & pepper shakers facing in opposite directions.) oops!
I really like the way the Red & Silver Tablescape came together. And it gave me enough color to get out of the ‘cabin fever’ feeling.
Happy Creating everyone!
