It’s a dreary, rainy day here in Western Pennsylvania. Everything is still looking brown outside. I’m longing for Spring to get here, soon. I’m hoping to see some green outside, but right now, there is very little. To compensate, I’ve decided to bring some green indoors with this week’s tablescape.
I started with a celery green tablecloth, that I covered with a white lace tablecloth. Then I added place mats to match the tablecloth. To brighten it up even more, I used white on white china, white flat ware and white linen napkins. Green glassware & napkin rings finished it off.
I wanted bright light for the centerpiece. I started with a 12″ x 12″ mirror. I added crystal ‘sun’ candle holders filled with lime votive candles. Then I added a crystal vase. I filled the vase with water gems to hold the foliage in place. Then I brought the green & white into the centerpiece by using green ivy, white roses & green glitter Ting Ting. (Gotta have my glitter)
I love the way the sunlight filters through the glassware.
And why have candles if you’re not going to light them?
I’m not sure if it’s just the crystal or the water gems in the crystal that made the centerpiece glow the way it did… but I really liked it.
And a view from the top:
I hope you enjoyed the tablescape. Hopefully, next week, there will be some green outside, and Spring will have finally arrived.
Happy Creating everyone!
