Back in October, my husband & I went to the cemetery to visit my Mama’s grave on her birthday. It’s hard for me to go there, I miss her so, but I always try to go on her birthday & my birthday. I’d felt her presence all day long. On the way home, we decided to stop at a thrift store. I could still feel Mama close by. When I got over to the dish section, I found these dishes. Mama would have loved the pattern. She loved the color pink & roses. I’m dedicating this tablescape to my best friend, My Mama.
The china that I’d found on that day was Meito Fine China in the Rose Lane pattern.
There is so much going on with the china’s pattern that I tried to keep the rest of the tablescape simple. I used a white tablecloth covered with a white lace tablecloth. I used my Mama’s white linen napkins & to bring out the gold rim around the china, I used the gold flatware that my other Mom gave me.
(I guess this tablescape has both Moms in it.)
I love the roses on the inside of the cups!
I used the Pink Shabby Chic Centerpiece for this tablescape, that was inspired by the china. There was no need for candles because the centerpiece is lit.
It’s beginning to feel like Christmas.

And what if you don’t have the Altered Ornament to use in the centerpiece? How about using some Neon Food coloring in a tall vase. Just float some tea lights on top.
Happy Creating everyone!
