Since Mother’s Day is right around the corner, I was going to use my Mom’s china. But, Walmart got in these clear cobalt blue dishes by Anchor Hocking, and I just had to use them. (I love cobalt blue)
I started off with a light blue damask tablecloth & light blue napkins. Then to compliment the dishware, I added my cobalt blue flatware, some mugs & goblets.
Since the color of the dishware is so intense, I kept the centerpiece simple. I used a place mat mirror as the base. Then I added some mercury glass candle holders and added some battery operated candles. I scattered some cobalt blue flat backed marbles to bring the cobalt blue towards the center of the table. My cobalt blue salt & pepper shakers finished it off.
I love the way the sunshine shows through the dishware!
And with the candles lit:
There’s something about cobalt blue that makes me happy. I hope it brought some happiness to you.
Happy Creating everyone!
