The evening meal has been eaten, dishes are washed, counter tops are cleaned off, floor is swept & garbage is taken out.

I’m just curious, how do you tell your household that the kitchen is closed for the evening?

My family knows that I’m done in the kitchen when they see a candle burning in the center of the stove.  It’s not that you can’t use the kitchen, it just means that I’m done for the day in there.

The candle gives a wonderful scent that absorbs the odors left over from dinner, as well as a peaceful glow.

They also know it’s closed when they see the dish towel covering the dinner dishes as they air dry overnight.

I burn a lot of candles in my house.  I just love the glow & scents.

What do I do with all of those empty candle containers?
