I’ve been itching to do this tablescape since last year’s St. Patrick’s Day after holiday sales. I love the shade of green that I used. It’s such a happy shade of green.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
The idea for this tablescape started with the mugs that I got on sale at Walmart. I love the bright shade of green that is on them. And when I found the shot glasses at the Dollar Tree, I knew exactly what I wanted to do.
Shot & a beer anyone?
I started with a dark green tablecloth covered with a cream lace tablecloth. The place mats are actually kitchen towels that I found at the Dollar Tree. I just folded them in half to fit the table. I used clear glass plates so that the shamrocks showed through. White handled flatware & white napkins kept the white & green theme. The napkin rings are actually white ceramic napkin rings that I covered with shamrock paper napkins that were just taped on.
A lucky coin was put in the corner to wish every one a little luck.
The centerpiece for this tablescape is a simple vignette. I started with a small white tray that I covered with more of the shamrock paper napkins. To that I added an Irish family. These lovelies belonged to my Aunt Millie & were given to me when she passed. I cherish them. The ‘candles’ are battery operated votive candles that fit perfectly in the shot glasses.
I like the way the vignette goes with the place setting.
A few gold coins were added to the sides of the vignette to bring a little more Irish luck.
The tablescape with my little white tree decorated for St. Patrick’s Day along with a new shamrock banner.
And a view from the top:
Wishing everyone the Luck of the Irish.
Happy Creating everyone!
