This is a quick & easy tutorial to make a St. Patrick’s Day Wall hanging. It could easily be turned into a St. Patrick’s Day banner depending on how wide you make it. Customizing it is easy & there are very little supplies needed. It’s a very simple way to add to your St. Patrick’s Day decorating, and the little ones can help, too!
Last year, I got a package of foam shamrocks. Since I’m still on a mission to use up all of my left overs, I came up with this project. There were some glittered shamrocks & some plain ones. Using a gold Sharpie & some white paint, I wrote Irish sayings on the plain ones. Add any sayings that you like.
The I got out some of my St. Patrick’s Day themed ribbon. It was an inch wide & perfect for this project. (again, using up my stash)
I laid out the pattern that I wanted to use, then added hot glue to the back top of the shamrocks. For the first row, I just hot glued them to the ribbon.
I added hot glue to the rest of the shamrocks where needed. Some I glued on the underside, and some needed glue on the front of the shamrocks.
All glued into place:
I used ornament hooks to hang it, but you could use tape, push pins or what ever you have on hand. It weighs almost nothing.
It was that easy, and the best part is that it cost me nothing & my craft stash is getting smaller!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day & Happy Creating everyone!
