Baby Blanket Pattern
Any time I’m invited to a baby shower, the one thing that I make sure to include is a handmade baby blanket. The fleece that you purchase from Joanne’s or Walmart is thicker & usually softer than the store bought blankets. You can customize them or leave them plain and they are easier to make than you might think. The variety of colors & patterns are nearly endless, so you can make it to go with any nursery decor. Here’s how I make them:
Secret Pocket Pillow
Trying to find new ways to give a gift to someone can be difficult sometimes. But I think I found the perfect way to give a very special Valentine’s gift to someone. This is not only a unique way to wrap a gift, but it’s also something to add to your Valentine home decor.
This is the Secret Pocket Pillow:
DIY Shower Curtain
I’m still working on changing up the bathroom from turquoise accents to silver & white. I love the way the towels turned out. (to see how I did them, go here)
The next project was a new shower curtain. I made this for $4.00 instead of the $15.00 to $20.00 that the stores wanted.

Juice Pouch Tote Bag – Tutorial
I made these Juice Pouch Tote Bags years ago and recently, a friend asked me to make some more for her daughters. The kids love them, and they make great Christmas gifts. I thought that since I’m making them, I’d show you how I did them.
White Steeler Towels
I recently did a post about making Steeler Towels for the football season. Since I live in the heart of the Steeler Nation, I made towels in black & used Offray NFL Ribbon. Someone told me that they couldn’t find the ribbon that I used. So, I’m showing an alternative to using the NFL Ribbon, and still make the towels work for the Steeler theme. (or for your favorite football team)
Steeler Towels
I live in the Steel City. Football season is a big deal here, in the Steeler Nation. Although I’m not a big fan of sports, the men in my life are. So, each football season, I decorate for it. I do Steeler tablescapes, Steeler accents in the kitchen, & I even go as far as decorate the bathroom. The only time that I’ve gotten a reaction from my husband about one of my decorating projects is when I did the bathroom. Usually it’s a “that looks nice”, but his reaction to the Steeler bathroom was, “Wow”. This is how I did the towels in the bathroom & kitchen.
Diy Pin Cushions – tutorial
Pin cushions are a must in any sewing room. They can be very expensive if bought in a conventional store. But they’re very easy to make yourself. And when you make your own, you can customize them to the way you like them. They can be as fancy or streamlined as you choose. Shabby Chic, floral, animal prints, plain, it’s up to you! That’s the beauty of making your own.
Here’s what you’ll need to make your own:
