I thought I’d make something that I got from my Pat Catan’s Haul. I got some heart shaped beads while I was there, and I immediately thought of making some earrings for Valentine’s Day.
Here’s how I made them:
Here are the hearts that I found:
The supplies are simple:
Earring Posts
2 sizes of jump rings
4 clear seed beads
2 heart beads
2 round red beads
2 eye pins
Wire cutters
Round nosed Jewelry Pliers
The first thing that I did was to add a larger jump ring to the heart beads. The reason I used a larger jump ring is that I needed enough room for the jump ring to go through the heart & have enough room to add the second section to it. Set them aside.
Then, using the eye pins, I added the seed beads & round red beads. Once the beads were added, I folded the wire over to form an ‘L’ shape.
Cut off excess wire & form a loop at the end with the round nosed pliers. You may have to twist the loop so it is facing the same way that the bottom loop is facing.
The second section is done.
Then you want to join the earring posts to the second section (beads) using a smaller jump ring. You’ll be putting the two pieces onto one jump ring. (When you open a jump ring, you want to twist it opened, not pull it apart. It will never close properly if you pull it opened). Close the jump ring. The top section is done.
Next, you’ll want to join the second beaded section to the heart with another small jump ring the same way you did for the second section. You’ll be putting the bottom loop & the jump ring on the heart, onto the jump ring.
Close the jump ring & you’re done!
Your new earrings ready for Valentine’s Day and they were made so easily.
Happy Creating everyone!
