While I was shopping at Michaels, I came across a package of White Picket Fence. As soon as I saw it, I had several ideas for its use. Making Picket Fence Napkin Rings was just one idea.
And this is how I made them:
The Picket Fencing comes in one long piece. This is what the package looks like:
After I took them out of the package, and laid them flat, I cut them in sections of 10 pickets.
I brought the ends together using white floral wire.
I put the wire at both of the sections that already had wire. Then I twisted the wire together, and clipped the excess off. (Don’t pull the wire too tightly, or the last pickets of the fence will be too close together.)
I thought about leaving them round, which you certainly could do, but I thought that the napkin rings would lay better once a napkin is in it. Since the fence is held together by wire, it’s very easy to shape it the way you want it.
The finished napkin rings in use:
That’s all there is to it. They’re so easy to make, and would look adorable with any tablescape.
Happy Creating everyone!
