Recycled Candle with Crushed Glass Bling

I love to burn candles, especially when I’m cooking with onions.  Problem is, I can’t seem to throw the empty candle jars away.  Today, I’m going to show you my little trick for removing the wax from those candle jars.

Then, I’ll show you how I went from this:

20 Wednesdays till Christmas Ornament Series ~Week 18

Welcome to Week 18 of the 20 Wednesdays till Christmas Ornament Series.

Today, I took a plain baby blue glass ornament that I got from Walmart & turned it into a beautiful beaded ornament.

By adding some Mod Podge, I was able to add things like seed beads, rhinestone mesh, clear pearl strands & aurora borealis crystals, to turn these plain ornaments into ornaments that look like upscale ornaments.

Hard to believe that this:

Chocolate Peanut Butter Drops

This recipe was given to me more than 30 years ago, by my best friend.

They are a no bake cookie that is a cross between a cookie, candy & fudge.  They’re easy to make and are incredibly sweet.  (I recommend serving them with milk)

Chocolate Peanut Butter Drops

½ cup Peanut Butter

2 tsp. Vanilla

½ cup Quick Oats (add more if desired)

¼ cup Nuts (optional)

~Have ready to add to Chocolate Mixture~

1 stick Butter

½ cup Milk

4 Tbs. Cocoa

2 cups Sugar

Melt Butter; add milk, cocoa & sugar.  Bring to a boil.  Boil 1 ½ minutes.  Remove from heat.

Add Peanut butter, vanilla, nuts & oats.

Mix very well.

Drop by tsp. on to foil/wax paper/parchment paper.

Let cool for 1 hour.

Lift from paper.

I hope you enjoy these.  If you’d like to see how I made them, click on the link below and subscribe to my channel so you don’t miss any of my posts.
