I’m still using up items from my craft room as well as recycling things that could have gone into the land fills. You know how much I love sparkle & glam accents, especially since I love new items that can be used as a centerpiece. This is what I came up with.

Ugly Duckling Challenge
This was a different kind of challenge for me. We were asked to take something from a thrift store, that we normally wouldn’t put in our homes, and give it new life.
I think I did just that!

Tea Light Bridge
On our last visit to the thrift shop, we found a wooden tea light bridge. I liked the shape of it, but brown wood doesn’t go with my home. What did I do? Painted it, naturally. 😉 This is the Tea Light Bridge now.
Scatter Candle – tutorial
I recently went to the Dollar Tree to get a replacement for a candle holder goblet that had been broken. When I was looking around, I’d noticed that they had just gotten in an entirely new line of glass candle holders. When I saw these square candle holders with straight sides, I just had to have them. I’d seen something similar years ago, and I’ve been wanting to try my hand at it ever since. And now that my flat backed glass table scatter collection has grown, (there are so many beautiful colors now) I was ready!

Shabby Chic Candelabra
My mother-in-law gave me this candelabra when we were first married. It’s now 22 years old. It was gold plated & absolutely beautiful. But with time, the gold plating was coming off & it was starting to look a little worse for wear. I wanted to use it, but it needed help. So, I did the unthinkable. I painted it. It has gone from a gold candelabra to a Shabby Chic Candelabra! And all it took was a little paint, some crystals & a little patients.
