When you’re a crafter & people know it, they sometimes give you things thinking that you can do something with it. This project started with a friend giving me a pair of gold & glass cherub lamps that someone had given her. She thought of me because I’m always creating something. I’m going to get 2 or 3 projects from this pair of lamps. Here’s my first one:

Corner Booth Makeover
When we first moved into our home, we bought this corner booth. I wanted it not only for the seating, but for the extra storage that was built into the seats. But I don’t like browns, not the color or in wood tones. And for years, I would look at this booth & cringe.
By now, you know the way I think. If you like the piece, but the color doesn’t go with your home…. paint it! So I did.
My Little Night Light
I’ve had this little night light/lamp for more years than I care to admit to. I love this little lamp. It’s perfect for the corner of the dining area & sheds enough light at night to guide our steps for that late night glass of water or fridge raid. But it’s seen better days. The base & shade have aged to the point where it doesn’t look so good anymore. I really love this little light, and I guess I could have replaced it, but I know I’ll never find another one, so I had to save it. It needed an overhaul.
