Spaghetti Pie is one of those recipes that I’ve had in my recipe box for years. What does it taste like? Spaghetti pie is a cross between Pizza, Spaghetti & Lasagna all rolled up in one. It’s an easy meal to make & tastes just as good reheated as it did on the day you made it. It has become one of my son’s favorites and he asks to have it packed for his lunch to take to work. I hope you like it… we do.

Stuffed Green Peppers
Like I said before, I’ve been going through some of my old recipe cards. I haven’t made a lot of these meals for over 20 years. The first meal that I made from going through the old cards was my Mama’s Beefaroni. My son loved it, so I’m making more of the meals. The next recipe I made was Stuffed Green Peppers. I hadn’t made those for at least 10 years, Well, these were a hit with my son & I can’t wait to make some more recipes from that old recipe box. (and this is the girl who hates to cook)
Blueberry Cheesecake Pudding
This is one of my favorite desserts. It’s one of the things that I make when I have a craving for something sweet, with out the sugar. It’s made with 4 ingredients & takes almost no time to make.
Cucumber Salad
One of my favorite salads is the Cucumber Salad. It’s easy to make & perfect for any time of the year, especially when the weather starts to get hot. You can add anything to it that makes it your own. If you add some croutons & meat, like chicken, ham cubes or tuna, it becomes a meal in itself.
This is also a quick dish to take along on a picnic or to a holiday party with out having to worry about it going bad in the heat since there’s no mayonnaise or eggs in it.
Here’s my version.
Easy Chili Recipe
I hate to cook.
That’s all there is to it, I really hate to cook. But, I am a housewife & mother, and in my opinion, I cook because it’s a necessary evil. So all of my recipes are quick, easy to make, and need to be pleasing to my family. This chili recipe is one of our favorites. If you hate to cook as much as I do, or you’re looking for a ‘stick to your ribs’ kind of meal, this recipe is for you.
Sauerkraut & Barley
This is one of my favorite meals. It’s a new twist on an old favorite. It’s one of my comfort foods and takes less than half an hour to make. The barley gives the sauerkraut a sort of gravy & isn’t as strong as regular sauerkraut. Served with or over mashed potatoes, it’s amazing.
I don’t make it very often, because hubby doesn’t like the smell of sauerkraut cooking, so I usually make it when he’s not home. Here’s my recipe for Sauerkraut & Barley with hot dogs, or you could substitute the hot dogs with pork.
Tuna Noodle Casserole
I first got this recipe from a friend when we were in grade school. It’s one of my favorites, even after all these years. I’ve changed it up a bit through the years, but it’s basically the same. It’s a quick, easy recipe that will stick to your ribs. It’s also perfect for the Lenten season. And since today is Good Friday, I thought I’d share it with you.
Thank you for sharing this with me, Suzie Q.
Stuffed Cabbage with Bacon
This is one of my son’s favorite meals. There is no sauce added to it, so all you taste is the stuffed cabbage and it’s a meal in itself. You could have mashed potatoes on the side, but it really isn’t necessary. And since I cook it in a pressure cooker, it’s fork tender.
This is my recipe for Stuffed Cabbage with Bacon:
Ham & Cabbage Soup
One of the best things about the holidays is all the left overs. And one of the favorite things about Christmas’ left over ham is Ham & Cabbage Soup. I love it… hubby hates it. So I don’t make it very often. But when I do make it, I make a 6 quart pressure cooker full.
Here’s my recipe for Ham & Cabbage Soup
Easy Iced Tea
I’ve been making our iced tea like this for years. It never tastes bitter, takes very little ingredients & is healthier than the powdered mix that you can buy in the stores. With all of the varieties of tea out there, the possibilities are endless.
This is what our refrigerator looks like in the summertime.
