Memorial Day weekend is here. For this week’s tablescape, I decided to create a tablescape using the items that I got in my Dollar Tree Haul. I kept it simple so it could be used for a picnic outdoors as well as indoors. It was inexpensive as well as easy to put together. I hope you can find some ideas that you can use for your holiday entertaining.

Uncle Sam Figurine-make it your own
I found this little guy at Michaels, on a clearance for only $2.99! He was so cute, but as you know by now, I can’t leave well enough alone. I always have to make it ‘my own’.
Patriotic Napkin Rings
I’ve been searching for wooden napkin rings for months. Why wooden? Because I can customize them with paint to make them ‘mine’. Store bought ones are okay, but when I get a project in my head, nothing else will do. (I like to have my napkin rings match my tablescapes.)
This was so easy to do, and here’s how I did it:
Patriotic Decorated Candles
I had a lot of fun with this one. I’ve been playing with decorations for the 4th of July, and the thought of decorated candles come naturally to me. (I guess it’s because I love the look and feel of candlelight).
As usual, it’s an incredibly easy project to do.
Patriotic Wreath – tutorial
I’m still having a ball working on decorations for the 4th of July! The table is almost ready to be set, the decorative pieces are done for a vignette or two. But the door was naked!
It needed a wreath.
Here’s how I made it:
Terra Cotta Wind Chime
A Terra-cotta Chime, just in time for Armed Forces Day & Memorial Day.
It’s hard to explain what triggers a creative idea for me. Something just clicks, and I’m off! This little outdoor chime was inspired by a walk through Michaels. I saw these plastic mirror stars and my mind started racing.
