When I went into work, I heard from several of my co-workers, that Anna was looking for me. I’ve known Anna for 20+ years, (she’s in her 70’s) and to hear so many people say she needed to see me, I was worried that something was wrong. When I saw her & asked her why she needed me, she said, “Do you still sew?”. Needless to say, I was relieved when I said, “Yes, why?” She said that she needed some kind of case to carry her glass wipes in. The one that she had been using was plastic & had cracked & cut her. She wanted a container that was made of fabric & would hold around 4 at a time. This is what I came up with:

Baby Book Wreath
This was actually a very difficult project for me to make. Why? Because in order to make it, I had to cut up books. I’ve had a deep love and respect for books since the first time I walked into a library when I was very young. Books have not only taught me so much, but they have taken me to worlds I may never have even imagined.
This was a project that was requested by a friend of mine, who wanted this to be used at a baby shower as well as a decoration for the baby’s room. I did a lot of research for this project and this is my version of it. I hope you enjoy it.
My New Addiction
I’m absolutely hooked on a product that is found in the produce section!
My hubby first brought me a package of Dried Green Beans.
I know what you’re thinking. I wasn’t sure if I even wanted to taste it at first, but once I did… I fell head over heels for it.
Blueberry Cheesecake Pudding
This is one of my favorite desserts. It’s one of the things that I make when I have a craving for something sweet, with out the sugar. It’s made with 4 ingredients & takes almost no time to make.
A Painting for Baby’s Room
I have a sweet friend who has just given birth to a beautiful baby girl. I wanted to do something special for her, and a one of a kind birth announcement wall hanging seemed perfect. The baby’s room is being done in purple butterflies, so it made the theme for this wall hanging easy. I also wanted to add a blessing to the painting. The blessing is the same one that hung in my son’s nursery, oh so many years ago, so it had a special meaning to me.
This is the painting that I did for sweet little Chloe Nicole. I hope her Mommy & Daddy like it.
Schwarzkopf vs. L’Oreal Hair Dye Review
Oh coupons… you can be good and bad. I got a very large coupon for the new hair dye by Schwarzkopf. I usually use L’Oreal hair dyes, but since the coupon was so large, I decided to give it a try.
This is my personal review and opinion of Schwarzkopf hair dye compared to L’Oreal.
e.l.f. Haul
I’ve been shopping again, but this time it’s for me, not for the craft room or for the home. I was starting to run low on some of my cosmetic supplies and I’m starting to like the e.l.f. line more & more. It’s not an expensive line, and I can find it readily available at my local Walmart.
Cucumber Salad
One of my favorite salads is the Cucumber Salad. It’s easy to make & perfect for any time of the year, especially when the weather starts to get hot. You can add anything to it that makes it your own. If you add some croutons & meat, like chicken, ham cubes or tuna, it becomes a meal in itself.
This is also a quick dish to take along on a picnic or to a holiday party with out having to worry about it going bad in the heat since there’s no mayonnaise or eggs in it.
Here’s my version.
Red White & Blue Tablescape
Memorial Day weekend is here. For this week’s tablescape, I decided to create a tablescape using the items that I got in my Dollar Tree Haul. I kept it simple so it could be used for a picnic outdoors as well as indoors. It was inexpensive as well as easy to put together. I hope you can find some ideas that you can use for your holiday entertaining.
Patriotic Dollar Tree Haul
Since Memorial Day is right around the corner, there are patriotic decorations everywhere. I found these at the Dollar Tree & I can’t wait to use them in a tablescape!
Here’s what I found:
