Aunt Millie was our favorite Aunt. She was a delightful person with a great sense of humor. She had a way of making you feel at home, always. I can remember Aunt Millie & Mama talking on the phone for hours, and she could make my Mama laugh like no other. When she was called home, her lovely daughters gave some of her things to my sister & me. I got her flatware & my sister got her china. I can’t tell you how excited I was when my sister asked me if I’d like to do a tablescape with Aunt Millie’s china. The flatware & china were reunited. This tablescape brings back so many Memories of our Aunt Millie.

White Christmas Tablescape
As most of you know by now, I love white. So it was only natural for me to create a White Christmas Tablescape. The inspiration for this tablescape started with a white sleigh.
Purple Christmas Tablescape
This is another tablescape inspired by a gift from my wonderful husband. He knows how much I love purple, and when he saw a purple poinsettia, he knew I just had to have it. (It’s even been sprayed with glitter!) Inspired by that poinsettia, here’s my Purple Christmas Tablescape.
White & Orange Fall Tablescape
Cuisine Kathleen has issued a “White Fall” challenge. ONLY WHITE dishes, but ONE other accent for linens, glassware etc. This was fun, but very challenging. No problem with the white dishes, since they’re my everyday go to dishes.
The challenging part was the ONE other color. Not different shades of the other color, but one other color. My other color started with a burnt orange sheet that my husband suggested I buy when Walmart had their sale going on. And a tablescape was born:
Apple Theme Tablescape
Cuisine Kathleen has issued another challenge, and I’m up for it! I love when Kathleen gives us these challenges. It really gets my creative juices flowing. This time it’s an apple theme.
I thought about using a red tablecloth, but decided not to. (too much red) So I went with a white underlay with a white lace tablecloth overlay. I brought in the red with the place mats & flatware.
Aqua & Iris Tablescape
It still feels like summer here in Western Pennsylvania. I’m just not feeling ‘Fall’ yet, even though it’s only a couple of weeks away. Today’s tablescape was inspired by the lovely dinner plates. I love the shades of Aqua, and the Iris in pink, purple & yellow make what could have been a plain plate, so very pretty.
Celery Green Tablescape
I chose to use a celery green theme this time. What inspired the color was the shade of green in the china. I thought about using white, but I was afraid that the china would get lost in the white since it’s such a delicate pattern. I hope you like the way it turned out as much as I do.
Steeler Tablescape
Are you ready for some football? The men in my home are most certainly ready. Today, I surprised them with a Steeler Tablescape! The Steeler Nation is alive and doing well here in the Pittsburgh area. Everyone is wearing their Black & Gold again, so why not the table too?
Denim Picnic Tablescape
It’s raining here in Western Pennsylvania. So, how do you have a picnic when it’s raining outside? Simple, have the picnic indoors! This tablescape was inspired by the Denim Place Mats that I made in a previous post. I hope you enjoy it.
