It’s amazing all the things that a woman has to use just to look feminine. One of those things are the make-up brushes. The right brush can do wonders for putting on your make-up. But when they’re dirty & loaded with old make-up, they just make getting ready harder. They can get so dirty, so quickly. And using dirty brushes on your face will only end up hurting your skin. They trap bacteria & dirt. This is something that I don’t want to do to my skin. So a regular cleaning of the brushes is something that I try to do once a week. And it’s easier to do than you think.

Steeler Tablescape
Are you ready for some football? The men in my home are most certainly ready. Today, I surprised them with a Steeler Tablescape! The Steeler Nation is alive and doing well here in the Pittsburgh area. Everyone is wearing their Black & Gold again, so why not the table too?
Steeler Towels
I live in the Steel City. Football season is a big deal here, in the Steeler Nation. Although I’m not a big fan of sports, the men in my life are. So, each football season, I decorate for it. I do Steeler tablescapes, Steeler accents in the kitchen, & I even go as far as decorate the bathroom. The only time that I’ve gotten a reaction from my husband about one of my decorating projects is when I did the bathroom. Usually it’s a “that looks nice”, but his reaction to the Steeler bathroom was, “Wow”. This is how I did the towels in the bathroom & kitchen.
Sam’s Chicken Stir-Fry
Like I said in my ‘About Page’, I love to iron & hate to cook. So all of my recipes are simple to make. This is my version of Chicken Stir-Fry. My son loves it. In fact, he told me once that it was better than the one he’d had at a Chinese Restaurant.
Rope Centerpiece
I don’t know if being a crafter is frugal or not, but if I can reuse an item & make it into something else that’s not only useful but pretty, I’m going to do it.
I eat way too many nuts. I love Great Value Deluxe Mixed Nuts, mainly because there are no peanuts in it & it’s salted just the way I like them. So, needless to say, I always have empty cans left over. What did I do with them this time? I made a centerpiece!
And this is how I made it:
Denim Picnic Tablescape
It’s raining here in Western Pennsylvania. So, how do you have a picnic when it’s raining outside? Simple, have the picnic indoors! This tablescape was inspired by the Denim Place Mats that I made in a previous post. I hope you enjoy it.
Homemade Lemonade
People have asked me why I use so many lemons when I decorate. The answer is simple, I use them, a lot. I make homemade lemonade on a regular basis. The recipe is simple, three ingredients, and it always seems to turn out just right.
Denim Place Mats
These Denim Place Mats are very easy to make. The pocket holds the silverware & the loop holds the napkin!
They’re perfect for a picnic setting or casual tablescape.
