I’d found this on Pinterest a while ago. For the life of me, I can’t find the link to the original post. This is the Skirt Girl Super Lotion. It works like no other lotion I’ve ever found. It is by far the best body lotion, ever. I’ve made it as gifts for family & friends & have had requests for more. It’s easy to make, not overly expensive & the ingredients can be found at Walmart.

Glass Magnets
When I give Christmas gifts, I always try to add a small personalized gift with what ever I’m giving. I made these as Christmas gifts last year. They were easy to make, can be easily customized for anyone or any occasion and are inexpensive to make.
My Detox Soup
I have type 2 Diabetes. It has been a long journey for me & it hasn’t been an easy journey. My entire world revolves around food & how often I eat. This recipe helps me to detoxify my system. When I was first diagnosed, the doctors do what they usually do, put me on expensive pills & constant warnings that if I don’t get this under control, I would need to use insulin. To top it all off, they said that my cholesterol & blood pressure were too high. I was going broke & there didn’t seem to be a way out.
That’s when I went to my chiropractor, who does everything naturally, and asked him if there was a natural way to lower my numbers. He put me on The Page Fundamental Diet. Basically, the diet is, If God didn’t make it, don’t eat it. The diet is in 2 phases. My soup is made from the items that I can have in phase 1.
I am now off all of my pills & my numbers are in the ‘good’ range. What they don’t tell you is that the diabetic diet keeps you diabetic. They also don’t tell you that carbohydrates raise your sugar levels. I must admit, sometimes I fall off the wagon & once you start to eat carbs, you crave them. The only way I can get rid of the cravings is to make my ‘Detox Soup’. I eat it for most meals for about a week. By the end of the week, I’m no longer craving carbs. I tend to make 2 pots of this soup in a week.
This is how I make it:
Jewelry Christmas Tree
It’s no secret that I have O.C.D. ~ Obsessive Christmas Disorder.
I think about Christmas all the time. I can’t look at an everyday item without thinking, “How can I turn that into a Christmas decoration?”
That’s what happened when I posted the Walmart Gem Haul. I saw those pieces of gaudy earrings & I knew exactly what I was going to do with them. Those earrings became this:
Texas Sheet Cake
My Mother-In-Law gave me her recipe for Texas Sheet Cake years ago. It’s like a chocolate cake with icing that tastes like fudge. It’s one of my husband’s favorite desserts. It’s easy to make & I’ll show you an easy way to pack it in a lunch! I hope you enjoy it as much as he does.
Filing With Binders – Cards
Another project in my quest to get my life organized.
This entire project was started because I had the flu & couldn’t get out to get my best friend a birthday card. We have been friends for 40 years so she understood, but I can’t tell you how badly I felt. This will never happen again, thanks to this binder. It was so easy to put together & everything is now right at my fingertips.
Frosty Centerpiece
The temperature today is only 15 degrees & everything is frosty outside. This centerpiece was inspired by all of the frosty days in the Winter. It’s easy to make & only uses 5 items. The hardest thing about this centerpiece is waiting for the paint to dry.
I hope you’ll give this one a try.
Bling Napkin Rings
I’ve really got to stop looking at sites on the Internet. I see so many beautiful things that are way out of my budget. This is what happened when I was looking at Pottery Barn’s site. They had some ‘Crystal Bracelet Napkin Rings’, but they were $25.00. That’s just a little more than I wanted to pay for a little bling on the table.
While shopping at the Dollar Tree, I got one of my bright ideas, and I really like how it turned out. The project was unbelievably easy to make, and the results added just the right finishing touch to my Winter Tablescape!
Fall Tablescape
I haven’t done a tablescape in awhile, but when I saw these leaf patterned plates at the Dollar Tree, I knew I had to do one. And what better way to ring out the Fall season than with a tablescape on Thanksgiving?
Dollar Tree Fall Candle & Vignette
The corner of our dining area can be pretty sparse if it’s left alone. The nice thing about it is that it’s an area that can be easily decorated to bring a pop of color to an otherwise dull place. Creating a small vignette is easy to do & can become a focal point for the room. Hope you like it!
