Lately, I’ve found that there is too much purple in my craft room. Geez, I never thought I’d ever say that. I’ve found that by having color in the room, it distracts me when I’m creating. I’ve been slowly changing the items that are colored & replacing them with white. Here’s one of the first projects that I changed.

Birthday Tablescape
I can’t believe that it’s October already, but it makes posting this tablescape fitting, since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. I originally made all of the accessories for this tablescape to celebrate all of the September birthdays that are in our family.
I hope you enjoy the Birthday Tablescape.
Birthday Cake Gift Box
With so many birthdays coming up in our family, I wanted to make a special gift box for the occasion that could also be used as a centerpiece.
This is what I came up with.
A Pink Shabby Chic Christmas Tablescape
Back in October, my husband & I went to the cemetery to visit my Mama’s grave on her birthday. It’s hard for me to go there, I miss her so, but I always try to go on her birthday & my birthday. I’d felt her presence all day long. On the way home, we decided to stop at a thrift store. I could still feel Mama close by. When I got over to the dish section, I found these dishes. Mama would have loved the pattern. She loved the color pink & roses. I’m dedicating this tablescape to my best friend, My Mama.
Pink Shabby Chic Centerpiece
I apologize for not posting last week. I really wanted to get this post up, but I managed to sprain my wrist, and typing with a sprained wrist is not easy. So, I’m ‘hunting & pecking’ this post.
With the Christmas season upon us, I’ve been working on some new items for the home, gifts & some more orders. This is the first centerpiece for the season. It’s so easy to make, using items available at any craft store or the Dollar Tree.
This is my pink, Shabby Chic Centerpiece:
Pumpkins & Roses
Well, it’s still Fall, there are only a few weeks left until Thanksgiving, so pumpkins are still in order. When I found this china, I knew the tablescape had to be done in pinks. And, I think you’ll enjoy the surprise at the end.
Shabby Solar Chandelier
The first time I’d heard of solar chandeliers was on Pinterest. I fell in love with the idea of taking an old, out of date chandelier & turning it into something that can be used outside. I went on a search for an old chandelier. Then one day, while I was at Goodwill, I found one for only $6.45! It’s been sitting & waiting for me to make it into something beautiful. The wait is over, and I love it!
Egg Tree
You’ve got to love the after holiday sales. Items are marked down 50% to 90% off. Many of the items are marked down because they did sell. Why? Because sometimes, they’re down right ugly. But as a crafter, you see things in another light. Nothing is ever as it is meant to be. So was the case for this ugly Easter decoration. But I saw more.
Shabby Chic Lilac Village
I’m usually drawn to a more modern decor, but there is a ‘girly’ side of me that loves Shabby Chic. I wanted to do a new Christmas Village vignette this year, and since my favorite color is lilac, I decided to go with that color. Here’s how I turned Dollar Tree houses into a Shabby Chic Lilac Village.
Lace Vases
You might remember when I did the Lacy Table. I’m at it again, but this time I’ve painted vases. They have a delicate, feminine, Shabby Chic look to them. I’m using it as a centerpiece, but it would be perfect in a bedroom too.
I painted them the same way that I did the table, and this time I experimented a bit, too.
