I’m usually drawn to a more modern decor, but there is a ‘girly’ side of me that loves Shabby Chic. I wanted to do a new Christmas Village vignette this year, and since my favorite color is lilac, I decided to go with that color. Here’s how I turned Dollar Tree houses into a Shabby Chic Lilac Village.

Zebra Ornaments
This year I’ve decided on a black & white Christmas tree with silver & crystal accents. So, I’ve been busy making a lot of different ornaments. This is how I made my Zebra Ornaments.
Shooting Star Ornaments
I’d seen Christmas Ornaments similar to these a while back, so I decided to try my hand at them. This is my version of the Shooting Star Ornaments.
Snow Leopard Ornaments – tutorial
This year, I’m planning a black & white Christmas tree, so I’m making ornaments for the tree. Today, I made Snow Leopard Ornaments. They are surprisingly easy to make even though they look hard, and the price that is being charged for this type of ornament is outrageous! I’ll show you how I did it! Trust me, they are easy.
Flower Pot Angel
I’ve been making Flower Pot Angels for years, and for some of my new crafters, I thought I show you how I make them. I chose blue with brown hair, but you can change the color of the angel & hair to match any theme you want. They’re not only for Christmas decorations. They are adorable additions to a child’s bedroom as well as a kitchen angel. Only your imagination can limit this design.
Paillette Ornaments
As usual, I have my mind on Christmas. Heck, it’s there all year long! I love decorating for Christmas, and I love doing it myself. I was looking around my Craft Room, when I found some Paillettes. Paillettes are basically slightly larger flat sequins with one hole towards the outside rim of the sequin instead of the center. I came up with this sparkly ornament that I’m sure will catch the light like crazy. These are time consuming, but so worth it.
Star Shell Ornament
Fall is here, most vacations are over & the kids are back to school. That means that Christmas is right around the corner. With all of that in mind, I’m playing with shells again. This time I’m using Turritella Shells to make a star shaped ornament. (I usually call them cone shells)
Glittered Shell Ornaments
I love the look of glitter. There’s no way around it. The sparkle of glitter will catch my eye every time. I collect it, I organize it, I use it every time I get a chance. (my poor husband) I love what the addition of glitter to an ordinary item does. So this is what I’m up to this time. Glittered Shell Ornaments
Dangle Beaded Ornaments
Dangle Beaded Ornaments are probably the easiest beaded ornaments to make. All you need is: Jewelry Wire, Needle Nose Pliers & beads. You can get a little fancy and add some jewelry findings if you want to. They’re basically an icicle made of beads.
Beaded Victorian Ornaments
Whether you call them Victorian, Beaded, or Shabby Chic, these ornaments are so pretty & they look a lot harder to make than they are. It’s just some ribbon, lace, beads, sequins & pins. (and a little patients) It’s how you put it together that makes the ornament. And that’s so easy.
I’m serious, it’s easy. Let me show you how I made mine!
